October 9, 2006 -- Atlanta, Georgia

 World Championship Wrestling has announced today that they will produce three Pay Per View events. There will be one each remaining months of the year 2006. Currently, the WCW Booking Committee is working hard for the 2007 year Pay Per View events. October's theme is Halloween and the appropriate name is Halloween Havoc. For the month of November's event is Mayhem and finally, Decembers' event is Starrcade. If all three events are a success, WCW will renewal the licensing agreements for the titles.

On October 31, 2006, WCW will go on-line pay per view for Halloween Havoc.

Ted Turner founded World Championship Wrestling in early-2006. He hired Jim Ross as President and C.E.O. of WCW. Both, Turner and Ross, quickly made ground in the wrestling world by purchasing locally owned wrestling promotions in Atlanta, Georgia. They debut WCW in mid-2006 and they went on a nationwide tour to promote the franchise. On September 4th, 2006, WCW was officially launched on Network Television on Turner Broadcasting Network (TNT).
